Are you on a Volkswagen car search process? Then you need to know what is the latest in the automaker’s books.
Following the 2013 subtle upgrade of the Passat CC four door coupe, Volkswagen is looking to deliver a view of an all new CC in the Geneva Motor Show. The Auto maker has gone for a Sport Coupe Concept GTE which is not too far in looks from the other VW sedans although it features a more angular design thus forgoing the usual well rounded contours.
According to Volkswagen, ‘GTE’ has been added to the name as it will feature a plug-in hybrid drive train with the front wheels being powered by a gasoline-fueled TSI engine. The rear wheel will be powered by a pair of electric motors whose output has not been specified. The outlook is appealing with a wide grille and the nose standing out, which gives the headlights a better look. Lower air inlets in the corners of the front fascia gives a more sophisticated feel to the whole set up. Also to note is the higher mounting of the Volkswagen badge on the hood making it more prominent. To buy any car, these are some of the features you should be able to differentiate.
This new CC concept will be launched at the Geneva Motor show and the car itself is expected to hit the car market within the year joining the enviable collection of the VW family. This year’s Geneva show is heating up pretty well and VW has not been left behind in ensuring that its place is well represented in the industry advancements.
