Here are the top 5 vehicles to look out for at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show.
Audi E-Tron – Audi’s Sensational Electric SUV
As its name suggests, the Audi E-Tron is an all-electric SUV that is also the first EV ever produced by the brand. Given the popularity that electric-vehicles and SUVs enjoy separately, car brands have always been tempted to combine the two and produce an all-electric SUV. Audi has done just that and is all-set to reveal its all-electric SUV at GIMS 2018 that doesn’t just looks majestically rugged, but also delivers a striking driving range per complete charge.
Tesla Model X set the benchmarks for an all-electric SUV a few years ago and since then all famous car brands have decided to boost the segment with their own high-performance all-electric SUV models. Apart from Audi, brands such as Jaguar, Lexus and many others will also unveil their first-in-the-segment all-electric SUVs at GIMS 2018.
The Audi E-Tron boasts some serious performance attributes as the brand has fitted the E-Tron with three electric motors, two of which provide power to the rear wheels while the third one powers the front wheels. The expected driving range of Audi E-Tron is 311 miles per complete charge, which will certainly set new benchmarks for performance in the segment. E-Tron is also expected to be a high-speed machine that will effortlessly accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.5 seconds.
Not much has been revealed about the design of the E-Tron as yet, but it is expected to be similar to the E-Tron concept, which was first revealed in 2016. It will be a midsize SUV that will boast Audi’s new design language for both exterior and interior. The Audi E-Tron will be available in the markets in late 2018 with a starting price of £60,000.
