Brilliance and excellence describe the all-new Bugatti Divo most accurately. Coming from the brand that has also built the legendary Chiron and Veyron, the Divo is expected to be just as impressive as the rest of its lineup. With its stunning aerodynamics and blistering performance, the hypercar perfectly depicts “form follows performance” philosophy of Bugatti.

Reminiscent of the brand’s coachbuilding tradition, the new Divo represents the modern era of Bugatti hypercars that have taken the legacy of the brand to an entirely new level. The hypercar is named after Albert Divo, a Grand Prix motor racing driver for Bugatti who claimed the legendary Targa Florio title in 1928 with a Bugatti Type 35.

Being called a “perfect homage for the 110th anniversary” of the brand in 2019 and with only 40 units to be produced, all of which have been sold already, the brand new Bugatti Divo is the most dynamic and agile Bugatti ever created.

Here is a review of the gorgeous Bugatti Divo with a closer look at its design, performance and more.

Design of the Bugatti Divo

The design of the new Divo is unmistakably Bugatti with its sharp aerodynamics and exceptionally edgy appearance. While the exterior of the Divo has a wedge-shaped profile that gives the vehicle the appearance of being in motion even when standing still, the cockpit has been designed around the comfort of the driver to ensure maximum convenience.

Exterior

The highlight of the Bugatti Divo is its spectacularly aerodynamic exterior that creates a statement of unprecedented performance in a Bugatti. From top to bottom or from front to rear, the hypercar looks impressive from all angles and is simply a feast for the eyes.

Built on the Chiron’s chassis, the Divo is more aggressive and aerodynamic with design elements that have been added to further improve the performance of the vehicle. The upper portion of the exterior is muscular and fluid while the lower section of the exterior has been made more angular to add to the edgy appeal of the vehicle.
Bugatti Divo has been fitted with the signature Bugatti horseshoe grille and at its sides are wider and larger air intakes that give the vehicle a menacing appeal while efficiently improving the engine cooling function.

The dynamic profile of the Divo is accentuated by the wedge shape of the vehicle and the rising beltline that creates the illusion of being in motion even when the hypercar is standing still. To augment the aerodynamics of the vehicle, Bugatti has added a larger front splitter to increase the downforce while the newly added large air curtain ducts help in enhancing the airflow around the car.

Beside the stylish new lightweight LED headlights are air intakes that help in improving the cooling function for ceramic brakes and add to the aggressive appeal of the hypercar. Another signature Bugatti element in the new Divo is the central fin on the hood that generates added downforce. Pressure vents on the front fenders and vented wheel wells ensure an overall better performance and improve the airflow around the vehicle.

Another signature Bugatti aerodynamic feature, the NACA air inlet, can be found on the roof to create an optical connection with air outlets that can be found on the hood. The signature Bugatti line has been slimmed down to give the vehicle a visual horizontal division and make the hypercar look even more menacing.

At the rear of the Divo is a 183cm wide hydraulic wing that is 23% wider than the rear wing of Chiron. The rear is incredibly sporty with a split diffuser, partly 3D-printed grille, stunning Tail Lights System and four-pipe exhausts.

Interior

Not much has been revealed about the interior, however, it is expected that the interior of the Divo would be similar to Chiron. The cabin will be fitted with deeply sculpted sports seats with Divo Blue Alcantara upholstery. The same Alcantara trims will be used with carbon fiber accents to add to the luxury appeal of the cabin.

The in-cabin technologies are expected to include Multi Information Driver Display, Navigation System, Premium Brand Audio System, iPod Interface, Voice Recognition Control, High-Resolution TFT Display and a lot more.
