46th Online Auction of Distinct Car Number Plates Announced by RTA

After the success of the 45^th Online Auction of unique number plates, RTA has announced the dates for the upcoming 46^th Online Auction of car number plates. Much like the previous number plate events by RTA, this event will have a large number of distinctive and unique number plates available for the general public for auction.

What’s New in the 46^th Online Auction?

The Licensing Agency of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) announced that 320 distinctive number plates will be up for auction that will begin on 19^th February. The list of numbers will also include number plates with H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R and S codes. This edition will once again include motorcycle plates, this time, with Code 2.

Director of Vehicles Licensing at the RTA’s Licensing Agency, Sultan Al Marzouqi said that these auctions are very important to a big segment of the community. He said, “This sort of auctions also contribute to the online service offering of the Vehicles Licensing Department under its annual plan aimed at improving the quality and standard of processing the public transaction.”

Registration for the 46^th Online Auction

In order to participate in the 46^th Online Auction, the bidders first need to register themselves for the auction. Sultan Al Marzouqi said that the participants can register through multiple channels which includes RTA’s official website i.e. www.rta.ae and by going to RTA’s Customer Happiness Centre in Dubai. The staff will help the participants with their queries and registration process.

Criteria for Registration

The bidder must have a registered vehicle in Dubai or the bidder must have a driving license issued in Dubai. The participants need to pay AED 5,000 as a security deposit to register. The contestants also have to pay a participation fee of AED 120 before the bidding begins.

The interested people can pay RTA with cheque or credit card. The department will refund the security deposit to participants after the auction ends. Sultan Al Marzouqi said, “A team from RTA’s Call Centre has been furnished with all information related to the auction. It stands ready to respond to any public inquiries made through toll-free number 8009090 about the procedures of participation or payment.”

The registration for 46^th Online Auction for Distinct car number plates opened on Sunday. The bidding will start on 19^th February at 8 am and will continue for 5 days. With the success of the previous online auctions by RTA, the 46^th Online Auction is hoped to be a great accomplishment as well.
