The 2018 Honda Accord offers advanced powertrain options for excellent ride quality and superior handling. The all-new Accord comes with brand new 1.5-litre, 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and the next generation two-motor hybrid system.

The 1.5-litre VTEC In-line 4-Cylinder Turbo engine is capable of producing 192 horsepower and best-in-class torque of 192 lb-ft. The engine comes with features such as Direct Fuel Injection and Eco Assist to improve the fuel efficiency of the vehicle.

Performance of the 2018 Honda Accord

The 2.0-litre VTEC In-line 4-Cylinder Turbo engine is capable of producing 252 horsepower and a torque of 273 lb-ft. The engine also comes with Direct Fuel Injection System for enhanced fuel efficiency, however, this engine also has different driving modes including Eco, Sport and Normal.

Both of these engines are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission with the option of Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with Sport Mode. There is also an option of the segment-first 10-speed automatic transmission with Paddle Shifters in Sport and EX-L models.

As for the hybrid powertrain, the 2018 Honda Accord is fitted with the most advanced and industry-first two-motor hybrid powertrain and an In-line 4-Cylinder engine paired with Electronic Continuously Variable Transmission (E-CVT) with Sport Mode. The engine can generate 142 horsepower and 129 lb-ft of torque, while the electric motor can generate 181 horsepower and 232 lb-ft of torque.
