Performance of the 2018 Cadillac CT6
To enhance the performance of the 2018 Cadillac CT6, engineers at Cadillac have reduced the weight of the vehicle by using high strength steel and aluminum. This is a rear-wheel drive sedan (all-wheel drive optional) that comes with three engine options. All of these engine options are paired with an intelligent 8-speed automatic transmission for smoother and more efficient gear shift.
The first engine option is a 2.0-litre inline 4-Cylinder turbocharged engine that comes with Direct Fuel Injection System and generates 265 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The second is a 3.6-litre V6 engine with Direct Fuel Injection System that is capable of producing 335 horsepower and 284 lb-ft of torque. The third option is a 3.0-litre V6 Twin Turbocharged engine with Direct Fuel Injection System that generates 404 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque.
As for the available performance features, the Magnetic Ride Control will read the road up to 1,000 times per second and automatically adjust the suspension according to the weather and road conditions. Another optional performance feature is the Active Chassis System that combines Magnetic Ride Control with Active Rear Steering to improve stability at high speed and offer better maneuverability at slow speed. The Active Chassis System, when coupled with the all-wheel drive system, makes the driving experience more engaging than ever before.
