2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is a mean little supercar

As if the Nissan GT-R Track Edition wasn’t enough of an insane supercar, Nissan has just lifted the silks on an even more bonkers version of the GT-R, the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo.  And, it is in a league of its own.  Basically, the Nissan GT-R Nismo is a GT3-inspired version of the normal GT-R.

The 2015 Nissan GT-R offers smoother ride comfort, more refinement and benchmark fit and finish, in the spirit of a great “GT,” while delivering breathtaking performance and road-holding. Its “multi-dimensional performance” means the driver can enjoy the full depth of the GT-R’s capabilities, whether navigating corners of a winding mountain road, cruising on the highway or even in an urban environment.

Power for the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is a massive 600 horse which is 55 hp up from the standard car and torque is over 480 pound-feet.  That’s a lot, especially since the regular GT-R can hit sixty in under 3 seconds.  The 545 horse GT-R Track Edition runs from 0-60 in about 2.6 seconds, so imagine what another 55 hp can do!

The chassis receives some fine tuning too. The suspension is apparently set up to be more refined on road as well as on track. And keeping everything at check are the hollow, lightweight anti-roll bars.

On the outside, you’ll notice the big rear spoiler, the front carbon bumper and its lower front undercover. The three together increases down force, and the GTR Nismo generates an additional down force of 100 kg at 300 kph, when compared to the standard GT-R model. The car also rides on black 6-spoke wheels that are inspired by Nissan’s legendary GT500 race car.

On the inside, you’ll get carbon-fibre-backed reclining Recaro race seats. Furthermore, the three-spoke steering wheel will be wrapped in Alcantara and there will be red stitching on the seats, center console and door trim.

The Nissan GT-R Nismo will be available to buy only in Japan, USA and Europe car market by 2014.
