A recent survey conducted in UAE showed the lack of care shown by the motorists towards traffic regulations<\/em> as they failed to use indicators while driving. One of the main reasons for the recent surge in the road accidents in UAE is; Lane Swerving (poor lane changing) and that happens when you don\u2019t use indicators properly. The figures of the Interior Ministry show that in 2015, 21% of the fatalities in UAE<\/strong> road accidents occurred due to Lane Swerving.<\/p>\n

Survey and Research Results for UAE Motorists<\/h2>\n

The survey was conducted by YouGov<\/strong> and they observed a sample of 1,000 motorists<\/strong> and studied their behaviors for the use of indicators. The results of the study showed that only 15%<\/strong> of the drivers in UAE<\/strong> used indicators while driving.<\/p>\n

Research Conducted by RoadSafety UAE and QIC<\/h3>\n

While the survey recorded 15% of the motorists using the indicators, a research conducted by RoadSafety UAE and Qatar Insurance Company (QIC<\/em>) revealed that 90%<\/strong> of the drivers believed that using indicators raises road safety<\/strong>. \u00a0But when it comes to applying indicators in reality, only a handful of them did so. An interesting facet of this research showed that 67% of the respondents claimed that they utilized indicators<\/em> all the time whereas only 15% of them confirmed that they observed other people using indicators.<\/p>\n

The study conducted by RoadSafety UAE and Qatar Insurance Company showed the following results for those signaling the indicators every time on the basis\u00a0 of their age, nationalities and localities.<\/p>\n
