With all the bad memories of the past and expectations of a flourishing future, DeLorean DMC12 is ready for re-launch<\/strong> and expected to be in the market by year 2017. DeLorean could never get accepted by people whole-heartedly at its first launch in the 1980s. The Car had some pathetic features and did not meet its own milestones at that time. DMC12 that did not do any justice to people\u2019s expectations at that time,<\/strong> claims to have a modified built and setup for enhanced performance this time.<\/p>\n

What Triggered the Re-Launch?<\/h2>\n

Things never got going when it was first launched and it hurt the company\u2019s reputation badly. The loss of the identity of the company was so big that it hardly could recover from it. The end result was a complete overhaul of this car brand by a Texas-based Company who now owns the DeLorean.<\/p>\n

The whole idea of the re-launch of the DeLorean DMC12 originated after the Low Volume Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Act of 2015 got passed in the United States. <\/em><\/p>\n

The law eases out the smaller car companies by allowing them to produce 325 replicas per year of the cars that are 25 years old at minimum.<\/p>\n

DeLorean says, “It’s huge for us. It means we’re back as a car company again.” The new company, however, has no connection whatsoever with the bankrupt old company and aims to build a newer and stronger identity for DeLorean DMC12<\/strong> while keeping its vintage touch alive.<\/p>\n

Much Needed Change in the Engine Is Finally a Reality<\/h2>\n

This newly re-established company is firm to produce original DMC-12 stainless steel body cars with superior quality<\/strong>. The worst part of the car when earlier launched was its engine and any chances for the car to grow its market fell into tatters with an engine that just had the capacity of 130HP. A massive change is now brought into place for the re-entry of DMC12 in the market in 2017.\u00a0 A re-designed engine of 400 hp and Turbo V6 technology<\/strong> will be installed in the latest edition of the car replacing the old 130 hp 2.85-litre engine.<\/p>\n

Interior of the car will remain the same with some much-needed transformation. This model will also propose bigger brakes and superior wheels.\u00a0 This model will be given a modern touch.<\/p>\n

It had gull-wing doors with fiberglass. Panels made up of stainless steel were attached. Now the company says: “There is no reason to change the appearance of the car. As we go into the program,\u00a0\u00a0 we\u2019ll decide, what areas need to be freshened up.”<\/p>\n

The company gives almost no signals of bringing into play a massive change to the outlook of the car as it wishes to preserve the look of the car. The Vintage design with the striking engine change is expected to go well in tandem but fingers will still be crossed.<\/p>\n

The Re-Launch Will Have a Turtle\u2019s Strategy Towards Success<\/h2>\n

The first launch of DMC12 did not make sense when the 3 years of its production saw 9200 cars manufactured every year. The car was never high in demand but its manufacturing never stopped which ultimately led to serious losses.<\/p>\n

The new company seems to have learned its lessons from an undesirable past and The Texas-based Company says that in the start, they will be producing one car per month. But as the things would go smooth and the car would establish its market, its production will be multiplied and they might start producing a car per week. The expected price of the car is Dh400000.<\/p>\n

Going by the plans of the new company, the \u2018back to the future\u2019 car DMC12 should be launched in the year 2017. We are yet to see whether all the planning and re-modeling of the car goes well for the company or not but the approach of the company is clearly a sensible one and that might just prove to be the secret of their success in the coming years.<\/p>\n
